SPLASH 2014
Mon 20 - Fri 24 October 2014 Portland, Oregon, United States
Tue 21 Oct 2014 14:00 - 14:30 at Salon A - Design Issues for Software-Oriented Courses

As part of an evening master’s program, we need to teach software engineering to professionals who work in software development but who have no formal education in software engineering. The first challenge was to decide which subjects should be taught; the second, how to teach these subjects given the time restrictions imposed by the program structure.

The presenter has requested feedback on his course design from the SPLASH-E community. He will give a short overview of the course goals and constraints, followed by the current design. The audience will then provide suggestions and feedback to help the presenter tune the course to its goals.
